By whose life can we regard ourselves as being alive?

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Galatians 2:20

There is a cool interaction happening from a post on the Shovel Blog based off this statement made by Paul. You can find it currently on the front page, but I'll provide a link to the blog post itself. I thought I'd add some of what it stirs up within me.

This is amazing news! Tragically, many believers have been intimidated into fearing their amazing heritage in Christ by those who would have them groveling as unworthy sinners rather than standing firm as Christ-ones ... that is, those who are identified by, in, of, and as Christ in this world. Don't concern yourself with the fears fabricated by the fleshly mind, for those Jesus warned against were individuals who claimed to be the Christ in and of themselves. That's right, both their words and their meaning had nothing to do with the shared life of God through the spirit of Christ in them. When we claim Christ as being our life, we honor him and his finished work on our behalf, as well as the ongoing life that expresses itself through all who are in him. The fleshly mind sets itself above others, the mind of Christ in us convinces us that we share equally together in God.

I have added two new grace audio files since the last Spoonful came your way

Boldness and Confidence - There are numerous insights to the letter of Hebrews in this audio.

Anger and the Fear of Condemnation - Is it okay to get angry ... or will we really wind up in hell for those slights against our brother?

I always LOVE to hear about our heritage and inheritance! It ‘does the Body good’!  :) It is true nourishment that strengthens to stand, and gives great clarity of heart, mind and soul!  :) The on-going LIFE Who expresses Himself in, through and with all who are in Him! I LOVE that!! The Life of GOD is Alive and Well and LIVES in all who are HIS!  :) Sharing equally together in GOD! Wow! That is quite amazing isn’t it?! The mind of the world makes claims for ‘equality’, all the while creating as much in-equality as it possibly can. It is a ‘relative’ equality that changes easier and quicker than the sands that shift under-foot at the beach. It is not a strong foundation and can not be trusted. Thank God our Foundation is a Person … One Who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Eternally secure, strong and sure!  :) Thank you for all your encouragement!  :) Hugs!

It is my pleasure to do so. :)

If you want to honor the Spirit that moved David, stand firm in the fortune that he desired to understand: Christ in you, the hope of glory. source
