How much of what you believe —religious, mythical, scientific, philosophic, or otherwise— is based upon perception and illusion? And I mean either your perceptions and illusions, or somebody else’s. From the moment we took our first breath, and perhaps even in the womb, our individual worlds have evolved and changed based upon our own unique viewpoints, forming the basis for different perceptions. Many of our earlier perceptions and illusions have simply fallen away, but then how many of them merely shifted into an updated version? Many, if not most, believers in God have assumed that to question the perception amounts to questioning God himself. Not surprisingly, many end up questioning the reality of God after their perception of God fails. Don’t you think it’s time to challenge the perception?
