If you have been raised with Christ then HE is your reality. Count on this. Especially when someone or something demands an alternative reality. Do not give in to the lie that tells you something else, but stand in the reality of Christ.
We were in darkness, now we are in Light.
We were dead in sins, now we are alive to God through Christ.
After the people failed miserably in their attempts to be good, God brought about His promised miracle by creating something new — people who would from the heart operate from love
Hasn’t the good news of Jesus made it abundantly clear that those who have received the grace of God are the clean, the righteous, the justified, the sanctified, the holy, the pure, and even the undefiled? So, dump that evaluation system by which you keep judging yourself unworthy.
We denied Him, but somehow we came to believe IN Him. We hated Him, but somehow we came to love Him. And then somebody told us that we needed to devote ourselves to Him … and it created a conflict within us
Speak of freedom and watch the red flags go up. It is a shame that we miss the freedom of being free because we are so afraid
If God was really in us: Wouldn’t HE be our righteousness? Wouldn’t HE live out His life in us? Wouldn’t HE do what is pleasing in His own sight in us? Wouldn’t HE do His will in us? Wouldn’t HE be the fulfillment of all that He requires in us? Wouldn’t HE fulfill the righteous requirements of the Law in us?
If God was really in us, we might discover some amazing things such as: how much like Jesus we are, that false doctrine is anything that teaches us to assume He is is not in us, that most of our confusion is the result of holding on to thoughts that deny His really being in us, that our attempts at humility are built upon a rejection of Him being in us, and that our attempts to dedicate or rededicate ourselves to God are an outright rejection of Him having dedicated us to Himself once for all time.
Do we not understand that whether we fail to meet expectations, meet expectations or even exceed expectations that we are living in view of expectations? Isn’t it clear that living according to duty in any way, shape or form is simply living according to law?
Now, if any of you are hearing this with the spirit of condemnation hanging over your head, it’s only because you’re trying to hold on to two radically different propositions at the same time. It’s like trying to travel east and west simultaneously. But trying to do the one while believing we are still doing the other is the very thing that leaves us confused and paralyzed. You see, asking God to help you to remove your sin is built upon the assumption that Jesus Christ hasn’t already done it. source
